Final delivery after outfitting and sea trials is scheduled for the second half of July.

The vessel was named “Kamilla” after the daughter of Abdul Gamletovich, the Director General of “Marine Technics”. Presently, it is planned to build two vessels for our company. And when all tests of these vessels are completed, we will be ready to offer the project to our customers.

U-Type is an innovative multipurpose vessel of “Volgo-Don max” class designed for sea and river-sea transportation that is eminently suitable for both project and general cargo as well as for any bulk cargo. The vessel has been designed by our Turkish partner “Denge Technology” according to technical specifications of “MT-Group” shipping division and built by “EPIC Denizcilik”. Due to its characteristics and capabilities, it surpasses all vessels in its class – it has deadweight of 9400 tons, unrestricted navigation area in summer zone (it’s the major part of a globe), it can sail with open large hold with length of 72m, its container carrying capacity is two times higher than that of similar ships – 500 TEU, it has 20% less fuel consumption than competitors. Bow superstructure and the possibility to use open hold make it possible to transport oversized cargo without limitation on the height of the hold.

Principal particulars:

Length overall — 141 m

Beam overall — 16.96 m

Draught — 3.60/5.30 m

Deadweight at sea — 9 200 tons/5.30 m draught

Deadweight in river — 5 200 tons/3.60 m draught

Hold 1 — 27.3 x 13.2 x 9.2 m

Hold 2 — 71.5 x 13.2 x 9.2 m

Carrying capacity:

Crew — 12 people

Volume of holds — 12044 m3

Container carrying capacity — 530 TEU or 249 FEU

Propulsion plant:

Main engines — 2 х 1030 kW

Speed — 10.50 knots

Class of the vessel:

Classification society — RINA

Class notation — General Cargo Ship

                                 INWAER SURVEY, ICE**

“I am sure that the new innovative vessel will boost the development of our shipping division and usher in a new era in river-sea transportation.
