“KAMILLA” in Saint Petersburg

  • 2021 год

M/v “KAMILLA” has spent several days in Saint Petersburg alongside Lieutenant Schmidt embankment during its transit cargo trip along the route Poland – Kazakhstan.

Since it left a shipyard in October 2020, “KAMILLA” has already performed several commercial trips, but it was the first time when it arrived to the port of registration.

Within several months the vessel has proved its excellent commercial and operational capabilities.

Speaking about a unique nature of the vessel, I would like to note that, actually, all companies piggyback on each other. For example, Elon Musk or Steve Jobs did not come up with anything revolutionary, in fact. But when you combine the properties of some products, as a result you get a never-before-seen motor vessel; and it is truly innovative, Abdul Mekhtiev.

The motor vessel is quite good at proceeding head on to the sea, it almost doesn’t have rolling motion, and it loses not more than 1.5-2 knots. The main engine is well chosen for the dimensions of this vessel. There is a good visibility from the bridge, and it is easy to operate the vessel. Kamilla has shown a good performance during a storm. The strongest wind, I experienced, was 26 meters, wave height – 3.5-4 meters, tells the master of the vessel, Aleksandr V. Karaban.

The head of SeaEnergy freight department Sergey Serbin also shared his impressions about the vessel: “It is a very good and effective vessel in economic terms with perfect visibility and characteristics that are advantageous for transportation of oversized cargo. Nowadays, not many motor vessels are capable of performing such operations. Even on RSD59 it is not possible to place a cargo in two tiers, saying nothing about three ones. By the way, the cargo you can see now on Kamilla, is just placed in two tiers.

Kamillawas built specifically for project cargoes; this vessel is capable of sailing in unrestricted navigation area and allows solving the logistic tasks set by SeaEnergy perfectly, Abdul Mekhtiev.
