“Kamilla” has performed the transportation of wind-powered generators’ blades
- 2021 год
m/v “Kamilla” (first-in-class vessel of U-type project) has performed the first transit voyage along the inland waterways of the RF with blades and pods for wind-powered generators on board from Swinoujscie (Poland)+Brake (Germany) – EPCI (Kazakhstan).
Due to design solutions implemented on the vessel that allow increasing useful storage capacity and area of cargo holds, it was possible to place the cargo on the vessel in the most suitable way using the cargo spaces to the fullest extent. Such approach allows a cargo owner to reduce the costs of transportation of a unit of cargo while increasing the economic efficiency of the vessel.
When passing through the inland waterways (Volga-Baltic Waterway and Volga-Don Ship Canal), the vessel showed good steering performance at difficult sections of the route and a high speed of passage through river sections.
Besides the transportation of the cargo, SeaEnergy also developed the project of cargo securing and handled the formalities of cargo customs transit as part of a comprehensive cargo transportation service. This “one-stop-shop” approach allows the freighter to reduce transportation costs and significantly optimize labor costs for transportation support.
